One day your life will flash before your eyes, make sure it's worth watching!

All I See

Frost, wind, darkness
All around that is all I see,
Yet a light seems to be shining
Telling something to me.

Like music
Sung in a foreign language,
Telling a story through rhythm,
Through notes, and voice

I hear a bird crying off in the distance,
The fire crackling nearby,
Smell the sent of cookies
Drifting though the air.

Rain pouring outside,
But inside it sounds calm
A tap on the window,
Quiet but there.

Inside I am sheltered.
Sheltered against the storm,
Nothing can affect me now
Safe and warm.

As the door opens and we step outside,
There is only sunshine.
A wind, a breeze
That fills the air,

But darkness and despair
Just disappear into the night.
With you the sun
Just shines so bright.

Frost, wind, darkness
All around that is all I saw,
Yet now I see a light
The light in your soul,

It’s shining for you and me.

Those Words Without A Meaning

You only have one life,
You have the choice,
To live, to suffer, to imagine,
I've heard those words,
So many times,
Never quite knowing their power.

I used to be optimistic,
Thinking about the good,
Loving my friends,
Being a leader,
But also a follower,
Trying to do good.

I always felt like I was in chains,
Even the good times where never perfect,
I spotted the bad, not always the good,
Phrases and words where what I loved,
I said them but never understood,
I never saw their true meaning.

Through my experiences,
(Trust me I have enough)
I saw the dark side for many days,
Weeks and months passed by.
I always tried and looked at those words,
So small yet perfect, not knowing their strength.

When I got out of the nightmare,
I became a follower,
Needed my friends,
So dependent on others.
I never really noticed,
Until i saw myself change,
Had little strength to stand up.

I had a lot of time to think,
And I have made some changes.
I am less dependent on others,
Will stand up for myself and friends,
More daring and more open,
New experiences and new friends.

With the things I've been through,
(more then most kids my age)
With all my experiences,
The good and the bad,
I have come out of my own "ice age"
Everything around me is blooming now.

I am not saying my life is perfect,
In fact, it's far from that.
I am just saying that I learned to deal,
Find ways to cope with the bad,
Not ignore it, for it is still there,
But handle what I have.

We have hard times for a reason,
It is a blessing to have them,
For they make you so much stronger.
Stronger then you where,
You could never reach or set goals
Without them there.

I am so very grateful,
For the experiences that I've gained,
They have taught me so much
Especially about myself,
Reminded me of what is important,
In life, specifically in mine.

When I say, only you
Have the power in your life,
I mean it from the bottom,
Of my very heart.
I mean it in the most truthful,
Way I possibly could.

Happiness is a choice,
One you have to make,
People make it in different ways,
Which is all okay.
I had chosen to ignore
The good things for some time.

But is is finally time,
To make a change,
To chose happiness,
To chose freedom from those chains,
To chose to be the best person,
That I could possibly be.

I will try not to go back,
Because my mind is set ahead,
I am looking to the future,
Looking for improvements I can make,
Seeing opportunity, but still remembering,
Remembering the past.

Looking at the better side,
Of events that happened,
And are still going on,
If you chose, you can see the bright things,
Because it is a person's mindset,
That determines good and bad.

I will never forget where I came from,
But I will not regret what I did,
Because the choices don't matter anymore,
I am not settling for less.
The future looks much brighter,
Now that it is finally here.

I chose happiness,
Because with happiness,
There is nothing to fear.

Yesterday

I used to be optimistic,
With everything to gain,
Now I just look at the future,
All I see is more pain.

Always know where I'm going,
Always in control,
Sometimes taking chances,
Not thinking about the toll.

Don't know where else to go,
I thought life would be so perfect,
Like a river knowing where to flow.
Yesterday.

My life used to be amazing,
I used to be happy and free,
Free of these bounds of sadness,
Heavy chains dragging me.

I can't deal with these emotions,
Too much going through my mind,
I can't forget the gloominess,
It's taking over time

The feelings so bizarre,
No way to let them out,
Never thought it would get this far,
Yesterday.

I think about the future,
Such a long way to cover,
Never quite getting there,
Visions of the past, hover.

Sometimes life is simple,
Most times it is complexly crossed,
I don't know where to go from here,
Just feeling lost.

I'm dreading yesterday.

The Constant of Life

Relationships may come and go ,
But friendship is forever,
Never ending, the constant of life.

You may not be able to choose
Your family, the people close to you,
Remember not many people do.

When you are lucky enough,
To have that opportunity,
It will change your life.

So always hold on
To the ones you love.
You never know.

Something may happen,
That will make you need them
More then anything.

There are always opportunities,
Looming around corners,
Never when you expect.

They let you experience ,
The feeling of,
Realizing how lucky you are.

Be grateful
To have the people you care about,
In your life.

A Story I feel I Should Share

I would be lying if I told you that I remember every detail of the day that changed my life. The thing is, at that point I didn’t know that if would be the morning that would get me through the rest. Since I don’t remember it minute by minute, I will tell you what I do remember.

It was a very cold fall morning. Looking around, there were marshmallows walking around, kids bundled up in layers of sweaters and coats. I rushed inside the band room and was hit with a wall of warmth, music, and laughter. What a morning, I thought, what a morning. I slowly made my way across the room and as I peered over to the piano, it was already set up. Sitting at the stool was a shy, brown-haired girl. She looked lost in a way and was anxiously looking around.

When I arrived I nervously introduced myself and she quietly replied. The rest of the class period was a blur. We ran through warm-ups and practiced our songs for the winter concert. The bell rang and everyone went separate ways.

From that day forward, every morning the piano girl and I grew closer. We started hanging out after school and had many great times together. Movies and the mall, roller coasters and reading, masterpieces and musicals, photography and our perfect dreams, all filled those joyous years. It was through those experiences that I got to know her, and we became very close. By the time freshman year rolled around, we were sisters.

Freshman year was when things went down hill for both of us. There were family relationship problems, communication problems, and emotional issues. All of a sudden everything turned up side down. In the midst of all the chaos, which still exists today, there was one person who always stood tall, waiting for me after the disheveled earth had settled. It was she who got me through all the tough times, it was she who held my hand when there was nobody else there, it was she who kept me going everyday. She is my sister. There is no way to describe the wonders she has done for me and how much she has changed my life. I don’t believe in miracles, but if I did I would say: She is the miracle that on that cold fall morning I didn’t know I needed or would get. The miracle that gave me my life back.

The moral of the story: Relationships may come and go but friendship is forever. You may not be able to choose your family, but when you are lucky enough to have that opportunity, it will change your life. So always hold on to the ones you love because you never know when something will happen that will make you need them. There are always opportunities, looming around corners, which let you experience the feeling of realizing how lucky you are to have the people you care about most in your life.

Relax

I stand.
The edge so close,
So near,
Welcoming.

I look.
Blues and blacks,
Mixed and combined,
Soothing.

I fall.
Wind, a slight breeze,
Farther down,
Thrilling.

It ends.
Black and empty,
Nothing left,
Relieving.

Life

A mosaic,
Made of lines,
Scars of past,
Present and future.

On top of each other,
Side by side,
Diagonals,
Straight lines.

When I see it,
I feel good,
Know where
I'm coming from.

You Are My Sister

When I see your sorrow,
I feel sorrow with you.

When you have a bad day,
My day is a bad one too.

When I read about your tears,
I can't help but weep.

When you speak of hurting,
The hurt is what I want to keep.

When you wear a frown,
The sky turns from blue to gray.

When you are upset,
It is a very bad day.

When I hear you cry,
It sounds very loud.

When you seem unhappy,
I want to give you the whole world.

But when you are happy,
I feel that way too.

When you acheive something,
I am overjoyed for you.

When you are smiling,
Your smile I want to keep.

When you are excited,
I just want to leap.

When you are having fun,
I am too, what more can I say.

When I hear your laugh,
The bad in the world melts away.

When you get a good grade,
I couldn't be more proud.

When you I call you my sister,
I want to scream it out loud.

You are my other half,
Without you, I don't know what I'd do.

No one in this world,
Could ever come close to replacing you.

Forgive Me For Living and Being Me?

"Forgive me God,
For I have sinned."
What incredible insanity!
What nonsense do you speak of?

There are no sins,
There is no god.
Why would you believe,
That discrimination is good?

Why would you want,
To victimize,
To tell you novel people
Are bad?

Why can't you live your own life?
Just stay out of
Other's buisness,
Let them live their's.

I'd rather go to hell,
And have lived my life,
Then go to heaven, and have
Wasted my life getting there.

If you don't believe
In happiness,
In equality,
In fariness.

You have a choice!
Don't marry someone,
Of the same sex,
Don't get an abortion.

Just because YOU,
Don't want or need it,
Doesn't mean it doesn't impact,
Other people's lives.

Don't take away,
Another person's rights.
It doesn't impact you,
You get your rights too.

I'd rather go to hell,
And have lived my life,
Then go to heaven, and have
Wasted my life getting there.

Why would you believe,
In someone who told you,
That different is bad,
That gay is wrong.

Being yourself is right,
Intolerance is wrong,
Taking away a human beings rights,
Is worse then villainy.

That is a sin,
But it isn't to you, is it?
That is the only sin,
Taking away freedom and equality.

You make the world,
A terrible place to live in,
You take away the liberty,
In other peoples lives.

I'd rather go to hell,
And have lived my life,
Then go to heaven, and have
Wasted my life getting there.

Why do you want
To control the world,
When its out of your control?
You will never have power.

It doesn't matter what you think,
Others have opinions too,
But there are many people,
Happy without you

You are disgracing your identity,
Terrible to have in anyone's life,
I don't ever want to think,
Of the terrible things you'll do to me.

Let me live my life and feel my feelings,
We can be friends ,
But you must let me be,
Whoever I want to be.

I'd rather go to hell,
And have lived my life,
Then go to heaven, and have
Wasted my life getting there.

Just a Kiss

It was just a kiss,
It ment nothing more,
Just two friends,
Curiosity got the best of them.

If it really ment nothing,
Then why do I keep thinking back,
The time, the smells, the sounds, the touch,
Of that one kiss between us.

I only like you as a friend,
It would never be anything more,
At least that's what my mind,
Keeps telling me.

What if my hearts wants something different?
How will I ever know?
I don't know what to think,
Don't know what to think anymore.

I'm not a patient person,
But I guess i'll just have to wait and see,
See what happens,
Maybe something will, maybe it won't.

Why did this have to happen?
Now I'm even more confused.
I guess I was the one,
Who set this into motion.

Why did I have to be so curious?
Couldn't just let it go.
I even got buterflies,
But it ment anything.

I want to forget,
But I want to remember,
Want it to have never happened,
Want to know what it felt like.

I don't regret what I did,
I'm happy with what I did,
I enjoyed, just a bit,
I just don't know how to deal with it.

I'll just have to wait and see,
Although I'm not a patient person,
Don't know how much I can stand.
But I want to know.

I want to know how you felt about it,
Am I a good kisser too?
Would you want to forget?
Or do it again?

Have your feelings changed?
How would you describe it?
It was a kiss,
Between friends.

It was just a kiss,
It ment nothing more,
Just two friends,
Curiosity got the best of them.

Falling

We caught each other when we were falling fast.

Then all of a sudden we let go.

When we hit the ground it hurt.

We were to injured to catch each other again.

Now I'm falling.

Nobody is catching me.

Nothing there but cold, dark, emptiness

Live

My heart is torn apart,
So many decisions to make,
There are so many risks,
I'm not sure which ones to take.

Afraid I might regret,
The path I that i choose,
Always one step ahead,
So things are in my hand.

Never behind,
To scared to lose control,
It's not worth it,
Living this way.

I now realize,
Just what I'm doing,
Not living my life,
Just planning it.

Yet I can't seem to stop,
I need to be in control,
Because my emotions,
Are on a roller coaster ride.

I've got to turn the page,
Start a new chapter,
But not a new book,
I can't begin again,

The memories I have,
Are things I will remember,
Lessons, friends, relationships, fun,
All important to me.

Life has so many challenges,
You need to learn to deal,
Regret nothing,
And just live.

No matter where life takes you,
Live without a safety net,
Only from risks,
Can you live and learn.

Forget about restrictions,
Dreams have none,
And you should,
Always live your dreams.

Do everything you love,
Cause otherwise life's boring,
And before you realize it,
It's done.

Life is always hard,
But no matter how hard it gets,
Always remember,
Just believe in yourself.

Don't listen to what other's think,
It doesn't matter,
If you don't have any enemies,
You never stood up for what you believe in.

When I'm With You

You are so many things,
The list goes on and on,
You are way beyond perfect,
Nothing words could describe.

When I hear your voice,
I can't help but smile,
Just feeling you near,
Make me the luckiest girl.

The way you hold me when I'm scared,
Makes me feel fearless,
Like I can do anything,
As long as you are by my side.

When my phone buzzes,
I know is a text from you,
My face lights up with joy,
You brighten my day.

When you call me beautiful,
My heart just melts away,
This is so new to me,
I've never felt this way.

I look forward to your texts,
Especially the ones in the morning,
And late at night,
Reminding me to go to bed on time.

The time I spend with you,
Is the best in my life,
Every moment I spend without you,
Seems like it will never pass.

The way you call me Lis,
Gives me butterflies,
Our little arguments,
Make the times away worthwhile.

How I know your always there,
To catch me when I fall,
Makes me feel so much better,
Because gosh, I'm falling hard.

I just know it's something special,
It's the best feeling in the universe,
I can't even imagine,
What I'd do without you.

No time could be more perfect,
Then the time I spend with you,
It doesn't matter what we do,
As long as we're together.

Laying in the sand,
Hearing the ocean,
Feeling the breeze,
Being in your arms.

When you tell me how lucky you are,
To be with me,
It makes me think I'm even luckier,
To have you in my life.

When I stare into your eyes
The whole world melts away,
Nothing else could matter,
As long as I'm with you.

There's no way to describe,
The way I feel, in words,
I've never fallen so hard,
In my entire life.

It's more then perfect,
When it's me and you,
Sitting in your arms,
Together.

A Blank Canvas

A canvas, blank, white,
I can clearly see it in front of me,
The fabric stretched tight
Nothing else to see,

Over time, color appears,
Slowly at first,
Like machine warming up it's gears,
Not very prepared for the worst

Blues and yellows are splattered throughout,
Vibrant and dark are combined,
Hearts and knives, the sun and the sky, spread about
The canvas, aligned

Music notes, piano keys,
Symbols for the most important things,
Favorite artists and CD's,
Creating a picture so fascinating,

When you see a blank canvas,
You don't know what to expect,
You can never know its purpose,
How many people it will affect,

You can't judge by its size or shape,
If it will be a masterpiece, you never know,
Be patient, you must wait,
Let it find it's own hero,

When you first look, so white, so clean,
A blank canvas had many possibilities,
Some good, some bad, some in between
Let it grow, let it be free.

Band Camp

Hundreds of people fill the air-conditioned room,
Role takes about an hour,
People excited in their chair,
Then everyone is handed set-books,

You go out to the field,
The hot sun blistering above,
If you look around,
You see so many people,

The drumline practices by the buildings,
The pit is in the shade of the tree,
On the field you see drill forms being marched,
Music practiced over and over again,

These people will be your friends,
You will see them every day,
These are the people that will make a difference,
The ones that will learn your true identity,

When you see their faces,
You can't help but think,
These are the people you will sit with,
On a band bus at 1 A.M.,

They are who you call,
When you need help with your part,
If you don't have a ride to practice,
On Saturdays you're never apart,

Right now all you can think about,
Is getting the fieldshow down,
Learning your part and sets,
Not much else to do right now,

You see the heat rising from the field,
Rushing for water during breaks,
Talking to friends and enemies,
You know how it feels,

When you enter that door,
You know what time it is,
You will always look forward to this,
Because band camp is finally here again.

Thinking About the Past

I'm thinking right now,
About all the good times we've had,
I just can't seem to forget,
Just how much you mean to me.

We used to talk all the time,
Used to spend hours talking about my day,
I trusted you with everything,
I still do.

Then there was one night that changed everything,
Your warm hand in mine,
Didn't let go all night,
The best night of my life.

Now I can't forget,
Your beautiful smile,
Your warm voice,
Everything you said to me.

Your on my mind all the time,
Those moments don't go away,
These memories last,
Wish I could get over you.

I wish we could pretend it never happened,
Not forget because I never will or want to,
Just be friends again,
How it used to be.

I miss you as a friend,
Miss talking to you for hours,
I'd rather be good friends,
Then nothing at all.

I Wish

Right now it seems inviting,
I can clearly see it,
Just one small cut,
Not deep,

It sounds so good right now,
I can't get it off my mind,
I keep thinking,
What if I do just once,

Nobody would care,
Only I would know,
I want someone to say something,
Just recognize how bad I feel,

I want them to look past the mask,
The one I put on everyday,
It used to be my real expression,
Until I decided to tell her who I was,

It was a snowball effect from there,
Now it feel like she could never care,
She said she was excepting,
Told me she was OK,

She never acts like it,
Hardly tells me,
That she loves me anymore,
Like she doesn't feel that way,

Whenever I bring up the topic,
She makes up excuses,
She criticizes me,
For being who I am,

It hurts inside,
And I don't know,
How I'm supposed to let it out,
I want to scream,

Now I'm thinking about that dark sensation,
It's wandering through my mind,
Just once,
It would make everything better,

I sat there,
In my bathroom,
Waiting with a blade,
I was ready to try,

A second before I did,
I hear a knock on the bathroom door,
It's her,
She says dinner's ready,

She was the one,
That caused me all the pain,
The one that I could tell everything,
And now nothing to,

Now she stopped me,
From taking that first step,
And feeling just a little better,
It still runs through my head,

Whenever I want to talk to her,
I try to bring it up slowly,
Tell her its part of who I am,
And tell her how much I care,

I don't think she realizes,
How much she's hurting me,
I always wish that,
She would just accept me for who I am.

The Way You Make Me Feel

I saw the stares,
The weird looks,
Of people walking by,
Almost every person glared,

I heard people whisper,
Never look directly into our eyes,
Just walk quickly,
And just walk by,

But the thing is,
I really don't mind,
Other people have different opinions,
But I don't care what others think,

Because when I look into your eyes,
I get butterflies,
When I see your pretty face,
My stomach flies away,

I can't imagine a better feeling,
Then the one you give me everyday,
I look forward to seeing you,
Can never turn away,

Every minute and every hour,
You are running through my mind,
I have never felt better,
In my entire life,

Losing you would break my heart,
Nobody can change my mind,
I would go through anything,
Just to be with you,

To feel your hand in mine,
Your body close,
To hear that laugh,
That could lighten up any room,

To get that feeling,
In the pit of my stomach,
The one that feels,
Like anything is possible,

You change everything,
Because when I'm with you,
The stares disappear,
And whispers vanish,

Like someone dropped,
A thick blanket of fog,
Over the whole world,
And everybody else disappeared,

Like nobody else matters,
Like it's only me and you.

The Light That Brightens My Day

I wanted to write about sadness,
The blackness that used to surround me,
The terrible things I was going through,
The emptiness,

Then you came along,
You brightened up my world,
Everything disappeared,
Nothing sad anymore,

You always make me smile,
You are the sunshine,
I do not see darkness,
I only see hope,

You make my heart beat faster,
My stomach fills with butterflies,
When I even just think about your name,
I can't help it,

My head is filled with thoughts,
All of them of you,
Just can't forget,
The way you make me feel,

You mean the world to me,
Never gotten you off my mind,
I have never been happier,
Not in my entire life,

The hours without you,
Are way to long,
The hours with you,
Are way to short,

I don't know why,
I haven't seen you this whole time,
Now I have realized,
Just how much you mean to me,

You are the most amazing person,
So sweet, cute, funny,
There are no words to describe,
How wonderful you are,

You made my life a better life,
So I would like to thank you for that,
It means so much to me,
But you still mean the most.

Forgetting

You used to be my sunshine,
The light that brightens up my day,
The joy I found,
When I went to school,

I used to see you everyday,
Be so happy,
Look forward to that smile,
When I pass you in the hall,

Now your just a shadow,
Another person in my life,
A friend,
Not close but not far,

Now my world is better,
Now that the heart ache has passed,
Forgetting is much easier,
Then I ever thought,

I have someone who cares about me,
Likes me for exactly who I am,
I totally forgot about you,
You never come up again,

I have someone special,
They brighten up my day,
I get butterflies when I see her,
Even when I just say her name,

The future looks much brighter,
She knows how to make me smile,
Can't forget their laughter,
Want to be with her all the time,

I forgot the past,
The present is very clear,
I can't wait for the future,
I want it to be here.

Life and Dreams

Life's to short to live in the dark,
To do nothing with it,
You have to enjoy what you have.

You can't go day by day,
Without accomplishing anything,
Just sitting around.

You need to get up,
Take chances,
Takes risks.

You can't change the world from your bed,
Or from your couch,
You need to get up.

If you do your part,
You can help,
Just try.

You want to have stories to tell,
When you are older,
To tell to your kids.

These stories don't make themselves,
You have to create them,
Live them.

You only have one life,
Filled with choices,
Full of decisions.

You can change your future,
You can live your dreams,
You just have to go for it.

Take the first step,
You don't want to have regrets,
Live your life to the fullest.

If you view the glass as half full,
You will see the brighter side of everything,
Look forward to tomorrow.

Sure there are the horrors of life,
Everyone has those days,
But you have to make the best with what you have.

You can't change the past,
You can think about the present,
And the future is all yours.

Get off your chair,
Your bed,
Your couch.

You can change the world,
All you have to do,
Is follow your dreams.

I Don't Ask For Much

The world can be an ugly place,
It is full of people who discriminate,
The world can be a pretty place,
There are some people who care,

I don't ask for much,
I have friends and family,
People who care for me,
People who love me,

I don't ask for much,
I just ask that you treat me,
How you would treat yourself,
Just be kind,

I don't ask for much,
I just want a chance to show you,
Who I am,
My interests and my dreams,

I don't ask for much,
Just get to know my personality,
You may think I'm different,
But we are all people.

The world can be dark,
Full of people who deceive,
The world can be bright,
Full of acceptance and happiness,

I never ask for much,
We meet so many people,
Meeting you may just be,
A fraction of my life,

I never ask for much,
We don't have to be friends,
Maybe just acquaintances,
I just don't want to be enemies,

I never ask for much,
Do not judge me by the language I speak,
Do not judge me by my looks,
By the people I love,

I never ask for much,
I just ask for peacefulness,
Except my language, my style,
The girls and guys I fall for.

The world can be cruel,
Judgement around every corner,
The world can be compassionate,
Consideration floating through the air,

I don't want much,
Just some kindness towards everyone,
No intolerance is all I need,
You'd be surprised how nice it would be,

I don't want much,
Let me chose what I want,
Let me live my life,
The way I choose,

I don't want much,
I don't judge you,
I let you live your dreams,
I respect who you choose to be,

I don't want much,
All I ask of you,
Is that you let me be exactly who I am,
Accept me for me.

Something New :P

Hey! So far I've only really written poems and I am going to post the beginning of a new short story I'm going to start writing (and hopefully finish lol) PLEASE tell me what you think I would really appreciate constructive criticism! Enjoy :P

The past is behind me. I could never do anything to change what I have gone through and what I have done. Then again, I don't want to. I was never one of those people that lived with regrets. I have always done the best that I could do, but that was never enough.
The present is here and I can't change the circumstances. It is just one more thing that is far beyond my control. I just have to take the present and do the best with the abilities i have. I have to live my life in the moment.
The future is the only thing I have control over. I can change anything and everything in my future. I am very determined, so I can accomplish the goals I set up for myself. For normal people, the future is something to look forward to. I was anything but normal. The future used to mean a new beginning. That was, until I remembered that my future was slowly slipping away. Before I know it, it could disappear and it wouldn't take much. Just one quick stab of pain, a few beats of my heart, the feeling of a warm, oozy liquid running down my body for only minutes. Then it would all be gone.

New York

Bright lights,
Amazing music,
Wonderful sights,
Loud sounds.

The city that never sleeps,
The heart that's always beating,
The mind that's always racing,
The car that never stops.

You are more beautiful then anything,
You have make me laugh,
Always enjoying my time,
In that city of mine.

Nothing could change how I feel,
I will always come back.
See sensational sights,
Hear horns blaring.

When I'm here I can enjoy myself,
I have the greatest nights of my life,
Nothing should change,
I will spend forever here.

Always something to see,
New things to talk about,
A musical, a club,
Just strolling down the block.

Music, billboards, lights,
They appear all around,
Everything so wonderful,
So fun.

The car that never stops,
The mind that is always racing,
The heart that's always beating,
The city that never sleeps,

Amazing sights,
Wonderful music,
Loud sounds,
Bright lights.

Invisible

People whisper,
People stare,
People judge,

The world can be a cruel place,
Sometimes you can't be yourself,
Sometimes you have to pretend,

You might be to smart,
You might be to shy,
You might be to kind,

Labels are handed out to everyone,
No one is excluded from this,
There's no escape,

People judge you by so many things,
Looks, personality, activities, dates,
And so much more,

You say to yourself,
You shouldn't care what they think,
But you still do,

But sometimes you wish,
You could just be,
Invisible.

Loneliness

The pain just cuts,
Deeper and deeper,
Through my skin,
To the bone,

Nothing good,
Only bad,
Nothing happy,
Only sad,

Blackness,
Dispair,
No hope in sight,
Nothing bright,

I see nothing ahead,
No future,
The past is a blur,
It doesn't matter any more,

That's how it feels,
Alone in a world,
With no one by your side,
Emptinesss,

No one to care for,
No one who cares for you,
Nobody to hold you close,
Alone

Sunshine

When I read a text from you,
My face lights up with a smile.
When I think about you,
I get the best feeling by a mile.

I can't wait to spend my time with you,
I want to hang out all the time.
I want to be with you,
I need you by my side.

You are the light,
At the end of the dark alley.
You are the stars,
In the night.

Every moment that passes,
I have you on my mind.
Hand in hand,
You and me.

When I'm with you,
Everything seems perfect.
I could never imagine,
A better time.

Happiness fills the air,
Laughter can be heard.
A smile is always on my face,
Your hand in mine.

You mean so much to me,
You make me warm inside.
You are the sunshine,
In my life.

A Dream

Numbers buzzing around my head,
Lines, curves, squiggles,
Pencils and pens clutter the desk,
Paper all over the place.

My mind racing,
Heart beating,
Hand writing,
Ears listening.

My imagination runs wild,
Can't stop it now,
No slowing down,
It's the ride of my life.

Shapes and figures start to form,
Colors immerge as if they just appeared,
Designs and patters now fill the page,
The project is marvelous.

Stunning and breathtaking,
It pops out of the page,
Everyone awes at it,
But it is not finished yet.

I keep drawing, sketching, erasing,
It's not perfect right now,
But it has to be,
In order to be complete.

A Thunk is heard,
My pencil hits the floor,
I step back,
I smile.

It is done,
Finished,
My masterwork,
My Dream

Beginnings and Endings

Everything has a beginning,
Not everything has an end,
Then why do we wait for things to end,

Sitting there,
Waiting, knowing,
That the end will come sometime,

Whether it is tomorrow,
Or a hundred years from now,
We wait, we know, we think,

Endings mean new beginnings,
Endings mean sadness,
Endings mean hope,

Don't sit there waiting for the end,
Live, dream,
Hope, accomplish

Live in the moment,
Live your dreams,
Live your life with no regrets,

It is your life,
Your choice,
Don't waste it waiting,

Because before you know it,
You will be done waiting,
And you won't get a second chance.

Just Thought I'd Let You Know

When I say I had a great time,
I mean I had one of the best times of my life,
When I say a band review was great,
I mean I was thinking abou tyou the whole time.

When I say I had a nice weekend,
I mean it sucked without you there,
But when I say I love you,
I mean exactly what I say.

When I see your smile,
I think how lucky I am,
To see you everyday,
And have you in my life.

When you hold my hand,
I think abou tthe past,
Remembering every moment,
Wanting it to last.

When I'm sitting on the band bus at 12 a.m.,
I wish you were sitting beside me,
So I can sleep on your shoulder,
And hold your hand.

When I think about the times,
Moments we spent together,
I want so many more great times to come,
And I can't wait to see you again.

When your here beside me,
I have only one thing on my mind,
How I never want this to end,
You are the best thing in my life.

Hope

The city lies under a blanket of fog,
As headlights navigate through the maze,
Eager eyes glare out,

Trying to find something,
Someone to hold on to,
Anything, hope courage, love,

They need it more then ever
There is only one person,
That provides a safety net,

A reliable person,
Her smile a shimmer of hope,
Her laugh like a melody,

The only thing that keeps me going,
The only feeling of belonging,
Seeing her everyday.
